Griot’s Garage carefully took into consideration its wide customer base when designing the 3rd generation 6 Inch Random Orbital Polisher.
Their goal was to make machine polishing less intimidating for those who are new to the hobby, while also making it a more pleasant experience for professional detailers who polish paint every day. Griot’s Garage has successfully conquered the daunting task of pleasing both the novice and the professional with their redesigned 3rd generation 6 Inch Random Orbital Polisher!
Anyone that has used a 2nd generation Griot’s Garage 6 Inch Random Orbital Polisher knows that power has never been a problem, so Griot’s Garage focused on redesigning the casing of the polisher to make it more comfortable to hold during extended polishing sessions. The adjustable handle is still there, but they added a rubberized grip to make it easier to hold on to.
The housing now features molded hand and finger grips along with a domed, rubberized palm grip. The speed control dial and power switch were also moved to more convenient locations. All of these features add up to a significantly improved polisher that will surely inspire you to have fun in your garage!
The features that made the 2nd generation 6 Inch Random Orbital Polisher so successful are still there, including the powerful 7 amp, 850 watt motor that ensures the pad rotates under almost any amount of pressure.
While most dual action polishers will stop rotating when more than a little bit of pressure is applied to the head of the polisher, the Griot’s Garage 6 Inch Random Orbital Polisher just keeps on going! This enables you to achieve smooth, swirl-free paint in less time.
Even though Griot’s Garage 6 Inch Random Orbital Polisher is a powerful tool that’s capable of removing swirls, water spots, light scratches and oxidation, it is still very paint-friendly, even when used in the hands of a novice. The random orbit motion of the pad prevents heat from building up in one spot. Less heat is produced by the polisher and due to the random orbit motion, less heat is transferred to your paint.
